See a MMJ Doctor Online and Get a MMJ Card in San Diego, California

San Diego has taken more of a positive stance towards cannabis when compared to some of the other counties in California. Job fairs, farmers markets, the development of interesting and sometimes innovative new products … There are plenty of great things coming out of San Diego.

Of course, this is not to say that similar issues that have afflicted other counties in California haven’t also affected San Diego. Illegal dispensaries are still in operation, and there is still lots of messy legislation to get cleared up. In the meantime, you can qualify for a medical card and physician’s recommendation and avoid many of the problems of the “legal” recreational market.

All you have to do to qualify for an MMJ card is click on the “Get a Rec” button. When you do this, you’ll be taken to our Medical Card page, where you can click on the “Get A Rec” button and be taken to a virtual clinic. Here, you’ll need to give us a name and email address and to create a password. You’ll also need to take a picture and fill out a quick medical questionnaire to create a profile. The Medical Card page also answers FAQs about Leafwell, California’s medical cannabis programme and some basics about the cannabis plant and its potential as medicine. To provide a checklist of things you will need in order to see a doctor online with Leafwell, you’ll need:

  • An internet connection.
  • A valid email address.
  • A laptop, desktop, smartphone or tablet with a working camera, microphone and speakers so you can see and hear the doctor and vice-versa.
  • Photographic ID (e.g. driver’s licence, passport).
  • Proof of California residency (e.g. utility bill, bank statement, rental/mortgage agreement).
  • Ideal but not necessary: medical notes/records detailing your condition.
  • We recommend getting both a recommendation and medical marijuana identification card (MMIC) – no MMIC means no money off the sales tax portion of the total cost of any cannabinoid-based products you buy.

Some qualifying conditions for medical cannabis include depression, anxiety, chronic pain, PTSD, Crohn’s disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, epilepsy, Parkinson’s, diabetes and HIV/AIDS. If you suffer from a chronic condition and feel that medical cannabis could help you, it is worth applying.
